Cream, Cafes & Cycloramic Captures of Cornwall

Cornwall was indeed the epicentre of British Tourism in the summer of 2020. Indeed, with many countries within mainland Europe now being added to the list of quarantined countries by the UK, this has meant more holidaying at home for British residents.

The Eat Out To Help Out scheme entered its final day on the August Bank Holiday. Suffice to say such an opportunity cannot be wasted by indulging in Cornwall’s most storied gastronomic delight, Cornish Scone with Cream & Jam (or Jam & Cream, depending what order you spread the items on)!

Clotted Cream & Jam – which one do you spread first on your scone?

You might be surprised to know that areas of the Cornish region are synonymous with quirks. By way of example, in St Mawes, some residents prefer CCTV implementation on trees rather than within the auspices of their property. Elsewhere, a hike on the Southwest Coastal Path can lead to you stumbling across an out of bounds gym in the form of wooden obstacles.

Any idea where you think the CCTV might be…
You guessed it – The trees of St Mawes are watching too!

The conclusion of a hike need not better be marked than indulging and ravenously devouring Cornish Afternoon Tea! There is no better place to have this than the Twisted Currant Cafe in Porthleven.

Fistral Beach provides the crest of a wave to try a spot of Surfing on. The tutorials provided by Fistral Beach Surf School are both insightful and humorous of how not to catch a wave! Thereafter, you can watch how others surf (including local experts) over a sumptuous pizza at The Fistral Stable restaurant.
